Peanut Butter M&M Cookies

Description

Delicious peanut butter cookies filled with M&Ms and chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup M&Ms
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. Cream the butter and both sugars together until light and creamy.
  3. Add the peanut butter and mix until combined. Then add in the egg and vanilla and mix just until combined.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Stir in the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
  7. Using a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop the dough and place on a lined baking sheet, at least 2 inches apart. If desired, press more M&Ms and chocolate chips into the cookie dough balls.
  8. Bake just until the cookies are browned around the edges, about 12 minutes.
  9. Let the cookies cool for several minutes before removing from the baking sheets to cool completely.

Notes

  • Make sure the butter is softened for easier mixing.
  • For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
