Description

A delicious and creamy banana date smoothie that’s perfect for breakfast or a snack!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large bananas (peeled, sliced and frozen)
  • 2 Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (use plant-based yogurt for vegan)
  • 1 cup whole milk (full-fat milk or skim, low fat, or plant-based milk)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender.
  2. Tip: If the frozen bananas are too hard, then thaw them for 10 minutes.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add some more milk if the smoothie is too thick for your liking.
  5. Check for sweetness and add some sweetener (honey, maple syrup, etc.) if needed.
  6. Pour the smoothie into 2 serving glasses.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • This smoothie can be made vegan by using plant-based yogurt and milk.
