Description

Delicious taco pinwheels made with tortillas, cream cheese, and a variety of toppings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat tortillas)
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey (seasoned with taco seasoning)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and taco seasoning until well blended.
  2. Spread a generous layer of the cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla.
  3. Layer the cooked ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, and cilantro on top of the cheese mixture.
  4. Starting from one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape.
  5. Wrap the rolled tortillas in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Once chilled, remove from the refrigerator and slice into pinwheels about 1 inch thick.
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

  • These pinwheels are great for parties and can be made ahead of time.
