Description

A delicious and creamy pasta dish featuring beef sausage and bell peppers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (your favorite type)
  • 1 lb beef sausage, sliced
  • 2 pieces bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil. Add in your pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef sausage, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Toss in the sliced bell peppers and minced garlic into the skillet. Sauté until the peppers are slightly softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Lower the heat and add in the heavy cream. Slowly incorporate the parmesan cheese while stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly. If it’s too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring it is evenly coated with sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Scoop the pasta into bowls and finish with extra parmesan and cracked pepper if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lighter version, consider using turkey sausage instead of beef.
  • You can add cooked spinach or other vegetables for extra nutrition.
