- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 zest orange
- 1 pie crust (prepared according to package instructions or homemade)
Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust by following the package instructions or rolling out your homemade version.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- Gently fold in mini chocolate chips and the zest of one orange.
- Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of chocolate chips and serve chilled.
Notes
- This pie is best served chilled and can be made a day in advance.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar to taste.
