Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 115 g (4 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup cooked turkey ham, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cucumbers. I like using a sharp knife or mandoline for even slices. Place them on a paper towel for a few minutes to absorb excess moisture. This keeps the salad crisp and not watery.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, chopped turkey ham, green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Fold in the cucumber slices and toss until every piece is coated.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 20–30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.
