Description
A refreshing and spicy salad featuring crispy cucumbers, creamy cheese, and jalapenos.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 115 g (4 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup cooked turkey ham, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the cucumbers. I like using a sharp knife or mandoline for even slices. Place them on a paper towel for a few minutes to absorb excess moisture. This keeps the salad crisp and not watery.
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Add the shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, chopped turkey ham, green onions, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the cucumber slices and toss until every piece is coated.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 20–30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.
Notes
- This salad is best served cold and can be made ahead of time.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of jalapeños based on your heat preference.
